Septoplasty

Septoplasty is a medical procedure that, when performed by itself, typically does not treat aesthetic concerns with the nose. Because a deviated septum can interfere with patients' breathing and everyday activities, some health insurance companies will cover the expenses of septoplasty.

Prior to the procedure, Dr. Sajjadian meets with patients personally to listen to their concerns and determine the right course of action. He schedules regular post-operative meetings as well to ensure proper healing. Dr. Sajjadian begins septoplasty with a thorough examination of the nasal structure using an endoscope — a small, lighted camera. Septoplasty is performed on an outpatient basis, with most patients able to return to their daily activities within a week. Patients are advised against blowing their nose for one to two weeks after the procedure.
